This weekend we celebrated love with Aaron & Lauren on their wedding day.
In the past three-or-so years, we’ve attended nearly 20 weddings together–whew! That’s a lot of friends and family tying the knot. Last year took the cake for quantity–we were invited to 10 weddings (several of which fell on the same day).
The year before we were invited to 6 or 7. It was a special year because both of our best friends got married. Phillip was the Best Man for his best friend Brandon’s wedding in Charlotte, NC. Heather was the Maid of Honor for her best friend Diana’s wedding in St. Louis (Heather’s hometown).
Seeing as it is April and the last wedding we attended was in November of last year, we’re due for some cake! Aaron & Lauren’s wedding has officially kicked off the wedding season. It couldn’t have been a more perfect day for celebrating a couple we absolutely love.
Aaron & Lauren are very good friends, not only to us but also to an entire packed church of friends and family. Their guest list was around 300.
Heather met Aaron while they were both in college. Aaron was the life of his fraternity house. Heather recalls he was the chair of the social committee ;-)
Several years later, Aaron & Lauren were introduced by our mutual friend Emily. To introduce them, Emily and a friend arranged to meet Aaron & Lauren at a locality where they could all grab a bite to eat. Emily, normally prompt and reliable, decided to arrive 20 minutes late giving Aaron & Lauren plenty of time to get acquainted.
Were there sparks? Lauren says “not really”—we love that answer!! Lasting sparks came later, and we were all witness to their dedication to one another during their ceremony on Saturday.
The wedding reception was held at an outdoor garden and indoor reception hall. Phillip’s company, The Wine Feed supplied the wine!
Aaron and Phillip have become wonderful friends over the years.
Lauren made a stunning bride—look at that dress spin!
Several tiers of delicious cupcakes! We tried every single kind.
We had so much fun with two amazing people, their friends and family. Thank you Aaron & Lauren for your friendship and a beautiful weekend!
